Amish Friendship Bread
Today, I actually have two posts for you, I couldn't miss Tasty Tuesdays, but I also wanted to participate in Ten on Ten with one of my favorite blogs. So be on the lookout for another post later.
Two posts in one day? I know, I know...best day of your life. You're welcome.
But as for Tasty Tuesday, I got a starter from my friend, Jenny, and this bread is scrum-dilli-umpcious! The hubby and I have already eaten an entire loaf and the second will be gone soon, too.
I'm supposed to make it every ten days and each time I get a few starters to give away to friends.
Anyone want a starter? Holler at me and I will pass it along! I'll be in the Bay Area in two weeks, too, for those of you up there that want one.
Just tryin' to spread the love!
Peace, homies.
if you have a starter i will take one!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I'll bring you one tonight!
ReplyDeleteAny chance you can try a gluten-free recipe?? :-)

ReplyDeleteOh, I wish, Allyson! I don't think the Amish figured that one out though.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I haven't had this in yeeears! I remember making some modifications to the recipe too (chocolate Amish friendship bread, anyone?)...but alas, the original was always best. I would absolutely love a starter if possible.
ReplyDeleteI can definitely bring you one! Are you still in San Jose? I'll be there Friday!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to try this! We have an Amish community not too far away and a few times a year they come into town to sell different items. This is one of those things my husband gets me every so often from them as a surprise :)
