{Saturday Morning Hike: Johnson Trail}

Happy weekend, folks!  I just love a good hike on a sunny day.  Today's Saturday, so get off your bun cakes and enjoy this beautiful morning!

I went on this hike with my sister and niece when they were in town earlier this week and it was a beautiful day for some outdoor exercise.

I got to play mom and wear the baby backpack.  I loved it.  We actually went running the other day and my sister let me push the stroller - just getting ready for what the future may hold for me one day!  The far future that is...

This hike is gorgeous in the spring when all of the hills are super green, but I also, being a true California girl, love the California gold.

Eva got out and walked a little.  She was having so much fun.  I just love the squeals little girls have.  So stinkin' cute.

And she must be a true California girl too because she was fully entertained by the golden grass that grew taller than her.  She probably could have stayed there for hours.

My sister and I had such a good time just catching up and talking about girl stuff.  Wife things and mother things.  I am so grateful to have such a beautiful sister both inside and out.  She is such an amazing mother and I am so blessed to have her to look up to.

And I know this was supposed to be girl time, but...

Baby boy was with us, too...

My sister is expecting in November!

So excited for another nephew and Eva is going to be a great big sister.
