Husband and I spent our first year of marriage in the beautiful Central Coast of California and we both had spent our 4 years of college there, as well. Although I really feel like we did a lot of exploring, we didn't even scratch the surface as to what this amazing stretch of California coast has to offer. There's a tiny little town (seriously tiny...like, population-18-tiny) just north on PCH of San Luis Obispo called Harmony. If you blink, you miss it, but there's a little trail from the highway to the water and it's incredibly beautiful and peaceful.
As huge and powerful as the ocean is, it's amazing to me how much peace it can bring. In the busy and crazy of life, husband and I both love to just stare at the waves crashing against the cliffs. It's hard to ignore Jesus there, too. It's like He calls us to the ocean so that we'll finally sit and listen to Him.
And I need that so desperately.
We had spent the night with our friends and then went on this little walk in the morning. Between an evening of wine and the Parkers and a morning hike here...it was the definition of a weekend of R&R.
Oh, and then we found this super weird house built from trash...literally. Kinda awesome...kinda strange.
Happy Saturday, friends. Go take a hike!
