Heather and I in 7th Grade... You're welcome. |
Halloween is my least favorite holiday. I'm just throwing that out there. Finding a costume always stresses me out and seems like a waste of money and I just never got the whole trick-or-treat thing growing up. I'm sure that sounds crazy to most of you who
lived for that holiday growing up, always competing to get the most candy and loving getting dressed up, but for me, I just didn't get it. Growing up, we lived out in the country with only about 4 neighbors, so we didn't trick-or-treat...we had what we called "The Walitsch Family Harvest Festival" where the older kids put together games for the younger kids. We were basically the
Dugger Family and proud of it. I really should bust out some old pictures from that, but that will be for another time...
Fortunately for me, in junior high, I found a friend who also didn't share the love for Halloween like everyone else. In 7th grade, we decided we were not going to hang out with our clique of preteens and we were going to do what made the most sense...play the
*NSync Backstage Pass board game while passing out candy to the kids that stopped by.
Obvi.
Our love for JT surpassed any love for Halloween festivities, so of course it took priority. I don't even remember doing anything else that evening, but I remember my 13-year-old self and my 13-year-old-JT-loving-bestie had the best Halloween of our lives.
Just us and our favorite 5 men and the quest to get backstage.
Definitely my favorite Halloween ever.
*NSync for LIFE.
