Camping

For our one year anniversary last week, husband and I went camping.  It was a peaceful, relaxing, and rejuvenating trip for both of us.  Being about 50 feet from the beach and being able to see a ton of stars at night was a dream come true and the best way to celebrate one year together!

We went on some hikes, husband surfed, exchanged gifts, we ate a TON of food and sat around the fire for hours on end.  It was wonderful.

Here are some pictures from our trip.

And that cake you saw?  That was the top layer from our wedding cake!  It was actually really good, too.  Who knew you could freeze a cake for one year and have it still taste delicious!

One of the highlights of the trip was actually the drive home.  We took our sweet time (because, for once, husband didn't have to rush back for work) and stopped at all of the pretty turnouts to check out the waves and scope out some future campsites.  What should have been less than a 2 hour drive turned out to be over 5 hours!  It was awesome.

And for those of you who were wondering, the campsite we stayed at in Big Sur was LimeKiln.  Feel free to contact me with any questions.

Have a great weekend, friends!
