Pray for New Town

Source
I had some plans on what I was going to write about today, but it all just seemed so unimportant right now.

My heart is really hurting for those families in Connecticut.  I cannot imagine what it must be like to be a part of that community, to experience so much pain over the loss of a child, or having to parent a child that experienced such horrific circumstances.  My heart is grateful for those teachers that put the lives of their students first, but grieves over the loss of their own life.

This world can be dark.  This world does not make sense sometimes.  How can someone do such an evil thing and even more so to a life so small and innocent?

I don't get it.  And I don't want to.

I have so many questions and I don't think that some of them will ever be answered as long as I am here.

But, I love what my pastor said yesterday because it offers so much hope and it is even more true than the tragedies that happened on Friday.

Our God is good.

All the time.

He is faithful.

The gospel is true.

And we know that there is something better to come.

And for that I am grateful.

But for now, I am going to mourn with those who mourn and pray for those that are being affected personally by this.

I'm going to love, because there is no greater calling than this.
