So my little sister graduated and we're all kind of torn up about it.
The littlest of 7 kiddos and she's done with school??? My parents have officially said sianara to "parenting" and are now real empty nesters. Like, everyone is officially an adult and on their own and it's kind of crazy considering they've been going at it for over 30 years.
Since she graduated way out in Wheaton, IL, my parents, younger brother, and I were the only ones who could go. Also, I'm pretty sure Wheaton couldn't handle the entire gang...they basically forced us to come in small numbers considering she only got 4 tickets to her graduation...
BUT, we'll all get to celebrate her later this summer...you know...at her WEDDING. Yikes. Let's not go there yet.
For now, here's a photo dump from her college graduation...
Gettin' murried in T-49 days! |
We all love her so much that we sat through yet another graduation ceremony...let's be real folks, these aren't the highlights of our lives...
Basically, my brother decided to make wonderful works of art to pass the time of reading all 600 or whatever names...

Have I told you how awesome it is to have these two siblings? When you grow up in a large family, you kind of get segregated into groups...we, my friends, are the younger kids.
Life together was awesome - we probably had the most fun.
We like to give him hugs because he loooooves them. Translate: Physical touch is not his love language.
Now that we all live in different parts of the country, it was so good to spend some quality time with them. PLUS, our awesome parents that we love and adore so very much. Our time in Wheaton was so so good...although I did miss husband and Mr. Bens dearly.
Congrats, Mamers! You are the most beautiful, wonderful, smart, talented, selfless, thoughtful and brave human I know. It is a true honor to be your sister. You're doing big things, girl.
And theeeeen we sat at the airport for EIGHT HOURS because of delays.
Still worth it.
