The youngest girl in the family is getting married! We are all so excited and of course had to throw her a bridal shower.
We hosted it at a gorgeous home in our area and had our dad, the father of the bride, as well as the host of the home welcome the guests and manage the parking.
We borrowed this super fun aqua beach cruiser from another friend and put it at the entrance to the shower. How gorgeous is the entryway?
Another friend of ours is really amazing at flowers (seriously people, if you want an amazing event, don't do it all yourself!), so we had her put together all of the flower arrangements. Aren't they beautiful?
When you walked in, the first thing you saw was our Welcome Table. This is always my favorite thing to put together for parties (see another fun one we did here!).
Isn't the bride-to-be B-E-A-utiful?!
Our welcome banner read "Love is a beautiful ride" to keep with the bicycle theme and our color scheme was gold and blue ombre.
These banners had some gold glitter that looked FAB in the sun - I wish the pictures could do it justice!
Of course we had a big countdown to the big day to get everyone excited.
To hold the name tags, we used a fun gold frame backed with chicken wire to told them.
We added flowers (on top of a crate with fabric for dimension), and used a large canister to hold recipes that people brought to share with the bride.
Of course we had some engagement photos on the table to display the beautiful couple.
We also had a date night jar for people to write their favorite date night ideas on a popsicle stick so that Jamie and Mike will always have some fun things to do! I made sure she ended up with 52 so that there was one for every week of the year.
We don't get to see our aunties and cousins very often so it's always fun to see them at parties and showers.
Guests were then directed to the Mimosa bar to grab a drink and chat with the bride.
Straws were purchased here.
We then moved the party to their seats to get ready for lunch. I looooved our table settings with all of the blue and gold accents and the gorgeous flowers. Perfect for a bridal shower!
My mom sewed the cloth napkins and the center overlays. Aren't those fun?
We had these adorable cookies made by a local baker and placed them at each setting.
For lunch, we did "make your own crepes" that were a huge hit. We had sweet and savory options and my mom made every single crepe from scratch! They were sooooo good.
Fruit salad in waffle cones.
YUM!
Then I thought I could give a toast, but barely made it before crying...let's not talk about what's going to happen at the wedding. *Cue the waterworks.
We played two quick games:
1. Who traveled the farthest (her high school friend came all the way from North Carolina!)
2. Who has the groom?
To play this game, I put little cartoon grooms under each table with celebrity faces on them and only one person had the actual grooms face on it. The winner got a cute little prize.
We then moved to the living room where we watched a fun video that Mike had put together for Jamie. Since they live in Chicago, most of the girls here had never met him before, so it was a great way to "get to know" the groom before the wedding.
It was a really cute, funny and sweet video he put together for Jamie - it was a big hit!
We then worked our way to the backyard for gifts. Is this view not breathtaking? The perfect place to sit for the next hour or so.
On a clear day, you can see all the way to San Francisco. Seriously, I could sit here all day every day.
We all pitched in to get her KitchenAid mixer and stuffed it with flowers instead of wrapping it.
And even though we had sweet crepes earlier, we had to bust out some dessert after gifts...gelato in martini glasses with a delicious cookie wafer!
We all wanted a picture with this gorgeous bride.
Jamie, I can't believe you are getting married next month! You are going to be the most radiant and beautiful bride there ever was! We are so happy for you and Mike and cannot wait to celebrate that special day! T-31 days!
