NYC Girls Trip

Back to Jamie's wedding week!

This year, we got to celebrate the last bachelorette in our family...

If you know me at all, or have read my blog for awhile, you know how much I love my sisters.  They're my besties and I don't know how some people get through life without sisters.  And our mom, she's the basis to our sisterhood.  She's the peanut butter to our jelly, the glitter to our glue, the roundhouse to our Norris and every other partner-in-crime saying you can think of.  She's that to us.

This is why, when we wanted to celebrate the marriage of the littlest sister, we just had to include her.    So for this girl's bachelorette party, we went the non-traditional route and did a girl's trip to the big Apple...and it was SO. MUCH. FUN.   We did the city right and I'm here to show you pictures.

After a very long flight ...we got up early our first day, caffeinated up and headed to the taping of The Chew!

Doesn't she look like Daphne Oz??  They even dressed as twinsies.  :)

We all got on the show and Jamie even played a game and won $100 (honeymoon fund?)!  Here's the episode we were on:  The Chew: Junk Food Jamboree

And then we ran into Gerard Butler...and it was awesome.

Central Park was gorgeous and so much fun to stroll around and recognize spots from our favorite movies.

This bridge made us sing this song over and over...

Sangria at Isabella's.

Then we got all dressed up and took our mom out for a belated birthday dinner at Butter Midtown which turned out to be the best meal I have ever had...

THESE ROLLS.  Had to.

Worth every penny!  Go here during your next trip to NYC.  It's a must!

We also showered her with Bachelorette-y-type things... :)

Chelsea Market was super fun and my mom was in her element.

We visited the new Freedom Tower and Ground Zero and it was beautiful and sobering.

We went to the 9-11 museum, as well, and I highly recommend doing it once.  You'll cry your way through it, but it is something that everyone should see.

It did rain while we were there, but it definitely didn't stop us from doing anything.

Aladdin was AMAZING.  I wanted to watch it again and again.  SO good!

And of course we had to get pictures with the actors because we're totally celebrity crazy like that.

Times Square selfies were a must.

Best pizza in New York at Grimaldi's in Brooklyn.

Then we walked off our pizza by walking the Brooklyn Bridge which ended up being one of my favorite parts of the trip.

A four-way FaceTime sesh with all the men in our fam happened.

Then we had to get some frozen hot chocolate from Serendipity because we're tourists like that.

Best view of the city:  Top of the Rock.  LOVED this way to end our trip.  Although, I was bummed Jimmy Fallon didn't pop out from behind us...

And I'll end with a selfie in front of the city (sans our oldest sister since she had to leave early).

Thanks, Mom and sisters for an amazing trip!  Can't wait for our next girl trip!

And Jamie...now it's wedding time!  T-3 days!
