I've been really into the weather cooling down this year. I don't know if it's because we've been in a drought for so long or what, but I've been craving the cold, wet and blustery weather that fall and winter bring. I'm usually a summer girl all year round - I embrace the sunny days all year long and never complain about wanting seasons like in other states. But this year, I just want to be cozy. I want to be in my Patagonia sweater, drinking hot chocolate and enjoying the crisp air.
After our road trip this past weekend, I realized we missed the fall in all of the states except for California. When we got back home, I noticed the leaves have changed. I noticed the crunch beneath my feet and beauty that I was hoping to see elsewhere. We did get fall. At least, this year we did, and I couldn't be happier. We're praying for rain this winter. Lots and lots of rain because we need it so much, and quite frankly, I actually want it this year. I'm ready for it.
Yesterday felt so good. I got to work from home, which meant it was easy to take a little break from work to enjoy some hot chocolate with my sister, niece and nephew outside in the overcast, crisp and colorful park by our apartment. It was wonderful.
Plus, I got a chance to play around with my new camera. ***News flash, peeps! I got a real camera! Time to practice a ton and learn how to take some awesome photos.
Have a great weekend, friends. I'm headed to the mountains for a retreat and to celebrate a dear friend's birthday. I hope you take advantage of the beauty around you!

I've been loving fall weather also. Glad you're getting to enjoy it in your state! Also, your pictures are incredible. And your niece and nephew are adorable. Good models to practice on!
