California Lovin'

I absolutely love my state.  

I LOVE Northern California.

I love that it's not Southern California and I love that most of my immediate family is here.  We pay a pretty penny to live here, but it's not hard to realize how much it's worth it.  I just love it here.

We did some water skiing over Thanksgiving break.  We wore wetsuits (this isn't Hawaii, people), but it was so fun to see the fall colors in the background, bundle up in blankets while on the boat, and watch husband wake surf and single ski.  It was kind of surreal!  The newlyweds were out visiting from the Chicago area and my BIL got to wake surf for the first time (I'm hoping this was a little bit of a convincer to move my sister and himself out to CA eventually!).  

I'm not a huge fan of the snow, but I love the fact that for those who want the snow, it's less than an hour from where we were.  I don't know how I got this lucky.
