I have a Tasty Tuesday for you! How long has it been? Over a year? I don't even know, but I'm super excited about this one.
I mentioned that I have been despising greens during this pregnancy and that my usual green smoothies or even salads just weren't cutting it - but I found a loophole! I found a way to consume some greens each day and LOVE it. I mean looooooove it.
Just add chocolate and peanut butter. DUH. How did I not think of this before? I need more protein in my diet and I can always use more chocolate (am I right, ladies?). My cousin introduced me to the healthy way to have your daily fix of chocolate.

Friends, cacao nibs are a SUPERFOOD. Meaning, chocolate can be a superfood. Winning! (You can read all about them here). They are totally bitter and do not taste good to munch on raw in my opinion (which is great for me, so I can leave the jar by my blender and not be tempted to snack on them), but they sure do taste delicious in the right smoothie or shake! I bought them on Amazon, but you can also find them at local health stores.
Fellow chocolate (and peanut butter) lovers: this is for YOU.
My only regret is not being able to come up with a shorter name that gives it justice. Geeeeeeez.
Healthy Chocolate Peanut Butter Green Morning Shake
1 Frozen banana
8oz Almond milk
2 Heaping spoonfuls of peanut butter
A generous drizzle of Agave
1/3 cup cacao nibs
A big handful of spinach
Blend and enjoy.
