Bumpdate {38 Weeks}

38 weeks!!!!

I can't even believe I'm this close to holding my little boy.  Where has the time gone?

I'm finally feeling ready.  I've got my hospital bag packed, we put up the finishing touches to the nursery last week, we did our final shopping this weekend, and we even finished a few more projects around the house.  Not everything is done, of course, but we knew that wouldn't be the case (is it ever?) and I feel really good about all we have accomplished in the short period we had to get settled before our due date.  I just wanted our place to feel less chaotic and more like home and I really feel like it does...I think even Benny feels at home now!

I'm still feeling great considering I could deliver any day now.  I get cramps pretty easily now when I walk too much or move too fast, but other than that, it's just sleeping at night that's been really uncomfortable (I can't wait to sleep on my stomach again!).  I just can't believe I'm at a place where I am seeing my doctor every week and anticipating that this little dude could arrive at any moment.  Our lives are going to change drastically, I know this, but to realize that time is now is unreal to me.  I have a hard time imagining letting all of my projects go at work, sleeping even less than I do now, and holding a babe that is mine...I'm going to be a mom!  :) :) :)

Thank you to all of you who have been praying for us and encouraging us as we prepare for this huge adventure.  We're excited, nervous, and also totally unaware of what this will entail, but we are confident that the Lord has got this, and we need only be still.

And on the other hand...he could totally be a week late and I could still have 3 weeks left...which seems like FOREVER...so there's that...
