{Missin' the Forest}

The Things I Miss About Mount Hermon...

I used to live in a forest.

Yup.  A genuine Redwood forest.  

And the picture above?  That was my office.  NBD.

Some of the tallest trees you will ever see and beautiful all year long.  

It was cold and wet and absolutely gorgeous.  

But it's not so much the forest that I miss about living there, it's the people that I got to do life with.  You see, that community works together, grows together, eats together, and really supports each other.  

And I miss that.  

Have you ever met camp people?  They're totally weird.  Uh...I mean...we're totally weird.  And crazy.  And did I say AWESOME?

Bart and I met some incredible people during our year there and I want to share with you (some) of these amazing friends that we miss...

...beginning with the intern group...that you can't help but love every last one of them...

not to mention the worst team building group of all time...

 

...but the best girls I could have possibly lived with...

...especially my roomie...

...and this precious face...how can you not love this red head?

and my awesome boss...because he can do this...(he's in the orange...)...

...and I miss his beautiful wife and two sweet girls...(I wish I had a picture of them!)

...and this guy and his family...

...cause we're the three best friends that anyone could have...

...and I miss my summer staff...

and these women...

Oh! And Sunday BBQs...

and hiking to the beach with this lady...

and while we're at it, I miss having retreats at places I love, like Hume Lake...

...and beautiful places like the Northwest...

and I miss getting paid to zipline...

...and climb trees...while Bart tries to tie knots blind folded...

aaaaaaand he's still trying to tie knots...while we keep climbing...

I miss the weddings coming to us...it's pretty awesome when you get an invitation in the mail to a wedding that takes place in your front yard...

I guess that's what happens when you live in beautiful places.

Sorry, back to people...

I definitely miss these ladies here...

Roxanne and Brenda - this includes you!

and Carissa...I want your vest.

And there are soooooo many more people I miss, but I just don't have pictures of them.  Like Shami and Holly and Josie and the rec staff and the Williams and the Broesamles and the Fernalds and Talbots and so many more people!  You know who you are, I love you and miss you all!

Bart and I will be praying for summer 2012.
