{Baby Brother All Grown Up}

I can't believe this day is only 5 days away.

My baby brother is graduating from the United States Air Force Academy.

It feels like just a year ago that he was showing us around the Academy and telling us how hard freshman year was and that it felt like an eternity till it was going to be over.

And now it's over.

He's going to walk across that stage, shake President Barack Obama's hand, and receive his college diploma.  Not only will he receive a college diploma, but on Tuesday he will be commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant.

2nd Lieutenant John Walitsch.  My baby brother!

Husband and I are so excited for him, we're already planning a road trip to go see him in his next adventure at pilot training in Texas.

My mom posted a verse from this on Facebook yesterday and I wanted to share it with you.  The Lord has been so gracious and present in this whole process.  I don't even know half of the things my brother has been through in the past 4 years or have a hint of an idea what he's going to see in the next 10 years in the Air Force, but what I do know is that my God is powerful and almighty and has a plan for my brother, and for that, I will praise Him.

Psalm 20

May the Lord answer you when you are in distress;
    may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.
May he send you help from the sanctuary
    and grant you support from Zion.

May he remember all your sacrifices
    and accept your burnt offerings.

May he give you the desire of your heart
    and make all your plans succeed.
May we shout for joy over your victory

    and lift up our banners in the name of our God.
May the Lord grant all your requests.

Now this I know:
    The Lord gives victory to his anointed.
He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary
    with the victorious power of his right hand.

Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
    but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
 They are brought to their knees and fall,
    but we rise up and stand firm.
Lord, give victory to the king!
    Answer us when we call!

So excited to see you soon, brother!
