{Date Night Last Night: Surf and Fish Tacos}

You know what's hot?  Surfing.  Not just surfing, but my husband surfing.  I don't know what it is, but I could sit on the beach and watch him surf all day.  I feel like I get just as refreshed as he does when he catches a good wave.  I love it.

Sometimes he takes me with him when he goes surfing (that is, if it's not at the butt-crack of dawn).  I like to bring a book and read it in between watching him shred the gnar (yup, I just said that).

God, it feels good to live in California.

Bart and I have been traveling a lot lately.  When I say a lot, I mean by the end of this month, we will have slept in our own bed for a grand total of 15 days.  We are about to embark on our 4th trip to LA, only to be followed with a week-long trip to Colorado for my brother's graduation.  Needlesstosay, husband needed some surf time and I needed some relax on the beach time.  So, we drove west from our hotel in LA and found a spot to park and surf in Manhatton Beach.

Side note:  I love our truck.

Anywho, we found a spot, parked, and headed to the beach.

That's my hubby on the right.  Sexy...

Hey there, cutie.

After about an hour or so, we decided to take a walk down the pier.  It ended up having a little aquarium at the end of it that husband totally nerded out on.

Naturally, we started craving fish tacos for dinner.  To our luck, there was a Wahoos right up the street.  Bonus!

When we were done, we walked outside just in time to see this gorgeous Manhatton beach sunset.

Another successful date night.

Rejuvenated.  Relaxed.  And more in love.

Just the way we like it.
