Blogtober 2014 {Funniest Childhood Memories}

Funniest childhood memory is a really tough one.

There are SOOOO many.

I've already told you that my life was basically the Duggers for a good portion of it with the annual harvest festival and all, so growing up as the 5th of 7 kids really makes for some great stories.

But first, I must address those glasses.  Really?  I mean, I guess I shouldn't be surprised when I'm the only kid in my family who had a bowl cut in preschool, but honestly, were those really in style?  They couldn't have been.

And my older sister had a pair two.  We were the only ones with glasses, and man, were we a great looking pair.  The picture on the left was in 1996 when I got to see the Magnificent 7 travel show after the summer olympics.  I was obsessed with gymnastics and it was a dream come true for my birthday.  Obviously, I had to bring the binoculars so I could actually see since my Harry Potter glasses weren't strong enough.

And don't even get me started on those bangs.  I used to try and curl them like the professional gymnasts would, but since they were cut so short, you can guess how great that looked.

But in the end, we can figure where I got my coolness from.  You see my dad up there?  His hat clearly states we knew what was hip.  CLEARLY.

Fashion never was a Walitsch strong suit...
