...On Projects and Hobbies.

Husband and I have always loved doing projects together.  When we first started dating, we made this super awesome bench together for my sister and brother-in-law as a wedding present.

Mind you, this was pre-Pinterest and before we thought to look on the internet for tutorials and how-tos.

This design was totally out of husband's head and created with minimal tools since we were broke college kids.

But isn't it sweet?

Since getting married, projects have become even more fun.

Projects now consist of creating things for our home together.

Husband loves to build and I love to learn.  It works out really great.

Some projects didn't work out so well, like this headboard project that ended up not getting built at all, but we still had a ton of fun creating the plans for it!  And maybe (hopefully) we'll revisit that topic sometime soon...

But I think we just both love accomplishing things together.  It's been so fun to be a team in this way.

I hope that projects are always a part of our marriage in some way.  I hope that we will always have the opportunity, desire, and ability to create and build together.
