...On Praying Together.

"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer."     - Romans 12:12

Life without prayer is a life without hope.  Life without the ability to speak with and enjoy relationship with the God of the Universe is dead.

I can't imagine life without the awesome power of prayer.  I have no idea where I would be or what I would be doing if I couldn't talk to my Jesus.  I don't want to think about it.  I don't care to know what that life would be like.

And something like this needs to be shared with my other half, my best friend, and my life partner.  Prayer has always been a part of our relationship and I know for a fact that it has been a strong point in keeping us together.

It's the first thing we did when we got engaged (well, after saying "yes! yes! a thousand times yes!" and kissing and hugging and crying and all that jazz...), the first thing we did after saying "I do" and the last thing we do before saying goodnight.

It's what keeps us strong.

It keeps us together and in love with not only each other, but with our Lord and Savior.

Our first year of marriage was a year with a whole lot of prayer together, too.  With moving away without any jobs, to wondering if we'll make it financially another month, to new changes and exciting things in life to be grateful for.  But I know that won't be the only prayer-filled year.  Each year will bring something new and we will always need to turn to Jesus.  When times are good and when times are hard, prayer is huge.

It's just a part of life.  And now it's a part of our life together.

I like it.

This is day 19 of the series "31 Days on becoming a new wife."  I hope you'll journey with me as I reflect on my first year as a Mrs!  Click on the button to see a list of the rest of the posts.

  1. I would have to agree with you on this one! This is the most important thing that a couple can do for and with each other.
I also want to know who takes all of your pictures? They are beautiful!
