{Party Time: Fall Themed Baby Shower}

I'm getting a new nephew!  Yahoo!!

I just love these little ones my siblings keep giving me.  Sometimes I really feel like they have kids just for me since I'm so obsessed with each and every one of them.  Weird?  I like to think of it as my best-aunt-ever status.  It's my calling.  What can I say?

Anyway, my sister is having a boy in just a few weeks and I am so excited to meet him and see his big sister take care of him. They're keeping the name a secret so I'm itching to find that out, too.  I'm guessing he'll come right dab in the middle of Thanksgiving dinner.  Wouldn't that be a fun story to tell when he's older?

But let's move on to the shower.  My mom and the rest of us sisters threw her this fall themed shower last month and I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty proud of how it turned out.  My mom made all of the food.

Did you get that?

My mom made all of the food.  By herself.  All of it.  Super grandma?  Obvi.

My sister, Becky, did most of the organizing and planning, I made the door wreath and banner, and the rest of us helped out with the day-of stuff (extra high fives to Beck and my mom for their hard work!).

But beware.  I have lots and lots of pictures to show you.  Enjoy this beautiful shower and I hope you get some fun ideas for your next party!

After welcoming guests at the door, the first thing they did was sign a fabric square that my mom later made into a blanket for the baby.

Outside, we had lots of cheeses and veggie samples for the ladies to munch on as well as lemon water and some mocha frappuccino on tap!

Then, of course, after lots of chatting, belly measuring, and nursery rhyme guessing, my sister opened up some gifts and we all said "aww" a million times because we just couldn't help it.

Then it was dessert time and this happened...lots and lots of goodness all made by the grandmother of the new baby boy.  Impressed?  I told you!

Are you drooling yet?

Once it was over, guests were given these fun caramel apples as a favor.
*If you're going to make caramel apples, make sure not to get apples that are waxed - makes it a little more difficult to caramelize!

(Don't worry, the kiddos and husband didn't attend the shower, these were taken after it was over.)

We love you, Kelly!  Can't wait to meet the new baby Jensen!

(And if you're extra observant, my sister, Lindsay (on the right), is also having a boy and she's due in March!  More nephews for meeee!
