Bumpdate {39 Weeks}

The final stretch is here...HOLY MOLY!

My boy is on his way and you know what made me feel like it was the most real?  Seeing photos on Facebook of a friend's baby born yesterday - my friend and I had the same due date!  I can't even believe it...I'm going to be holding this boy so soon...and then every day after that...forever!  Seriously, people, becoming a mom for the first time, specifically this waiting period, is unlike anything else.  I don't even know what to think right now.  Part of me can't imagine it, but then the rest of me is so excited for it to be here I don't know what to do with myself.

Besides the fact that my due date is in less than a week, I actually don't feel much different than I have the rest of my pregnancy.  I still feel really great, can relatively walk normal, and I haven't had any contractions yet.  My feet and hands, however, are totally swollen.  I've given up on squeezing into my wedding ring every day and by the end of the night, my feet must be elevated or else I look like I've sprained my ankles.  I haven't had too many pregnancy symptoms, but the swollen feet is definitely one of them.

Sleeping is super difficult these days.  I've been waking up about 7 times a night (no joke...I count), and every time I get up, the side that I was sleeping on is super sore.  I am SO excited for belly sleeping to come back!

I've been predicting a late arrival for this boy (in typical Gant fashion...), but who knows, apparently things could just progress really fast and it could happen tonight.  We shall see!  I'm looking forward to my doctor's appointment to see if there's any progress.

If you think of me...will you pray for us?  D-day is just around the corner!

  2. So excited! Also . . . Sleeping on your stomach may be awhile . . .engorged you know what . . . But it will definitely be easier than sleeping with a watermelon attached to your midsection. You look awesome!
