S'mores!

Sorry, I have to!  Every.  Time.  Sandlot anyone?

Ok moving on.  Being camp people, we love s'mores.

And nothing says summer quite like s'mores do.

I know summer is pretty much over, but we're trying our best to hold out.  I mean, our first camping trip of the "summer" is in a few weeks...that's just how we roll around hurrr.

It was my week to plan date night and my mom had gotten us this super fancy s'more machine.   Isn't it fun?  We knew we wanted to stay home so I thought it would be the perfect time to try it out.

It was a gorgeous evening, so I put our camp couch in our little back patio and fired up the BBQ. 

It was a simple evening.  We watched the trees move in the wind and were surprised at how many different birds find their homes in our neighborhood.  We chatted about life and how crazy it is that it has almost been a year since our wedding day.

Isn't it nuts how fast time seems to fly by these days?

I'm so thankful for nights like this date night to just pause and enjoy the man I married.
