...On Home.
Since getting married, finding a home has been vital for us.
We both love to be home.
We love adventure and traveling and being with friends; but in the end, we both just love to be home the most.
Finding home in each other was something we had to learn. We had to spend our first Christmas away from what we considered home before only to learn that our new home was with each other.
Our first apartment here in the Central Coast has been a wonderful place for us to settle down and call home. It has provided so many meals together, snuggle times on the couch, a place for friends and family to stay, and a place for so many "firsts" in our marriage.
It's a place of rest, but it's just that. Our real home in this world is with each other rooted in the Lord and no matter where He takes us, we will still have each other and the confidence in a life held by the Maker. That feels like home and no apartment, house, or building can provide that for us.
I had to learn that ultimately, my home is not even with my husband, but with Him who has called me His own since before I was born.
Happy Sunday, friends. I hope you find your home in Him today.
This is day 21 of the series "31 Days on becoming a new wife." I hope you'll journey with me as I reflect on my first year as a Mrs! Click on the button to see a list of the rest of the posts.
